On the morning of December 4, 2022, hundreds of students from the Ho Chi Minh City Open University gathered in 371 Nguyen Kiem Campus to participate in the 5th Part-time Job Fair in 2022. The event took place successfully with the participation of 25 businesses and more than 500 career opportunities are offered to students.

Sharing about the Career Day 2022, Huynh Tan Phat - 3rd year student from Faculty of Law, HCMCOU expressed, “Today's fair means a lot to me. It offered me the opportunity to interact with many reputable businesses and companies to actively seize a best-fit career which significantly contributes to my skill development”.

Training high-quality human resources for businesses and the society as well as building cooperative relationships with businesses to bring the best benefits to students has always been the University's top concern. The Career Fair is an annual event in collaboration with enterprises, agencies to help potential candidates to access real career opportunities. At the same time, assisting students in finding suitable positions relevant to their majors as well as being an effective bridge between employers and potential candidates.

Attending the Opening Ceremony of the 5th Part-time Job Fair 2022, the Organizing Committee is honored to welcome guests who are representatives of 25 businesses that have a close relationship with HCMCOU in consulting activities and recruiting such as Adora, Misa, Circle K, McDonald's, KFC VietNam, GS25, Lotte Mart, etc. along with representatives from Press Agencies and Ho Chi Minh City Television.

From the Ho Chi Minh City Open University, there were Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang - Vice President and leaders of the faculties, departments and centers. Especially, there was a large participation of students from the Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

Annually, HCMCOU enrollment reached 4,000 targets. In which, more than 89% of students seek part-time jobs to gain practical experience as well as improve their skills and earn extra income (According to student survey). Therefore, the Job Fair will be a bridge connecting students and hundreds of part-time job opportunities in various fields from reputable businesses.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President of the school shared, “It is necessary to plan a timetable suitable for your working schedule with adequate time for lectures and self-study. However, the fact that a number of students are misled into scam activities led to many unpredictable risks. Therefore, for many years, the school has made great efforts to facilitate cooperation with units and businesses to support students in finding suitable, safe, reputable part-time jobs”.

On the occasion of today's Job Fair, Lotte Vietnam Trade Center Joint Stock Company sponsored the University's student support fund, which is a valuable source of encouragement for students studying at HCMCOU.

Ms. Thuy Anh - Lotte Mart recruitment representative enthusiastically shared her feelings about students in the Fair: “We are very impressed with the dynamism, youth as well as social skills of the HCMCOU students. For the service industry, it is necessary to possess flexibility when serving customers and students from the HCMCOU have adapted very well. Therefore, I hope the University will organize more meaningful events like this to connect businesses and potential students.”

The 5th Part-time Job Fair in 2022 took place successfully. In addition to the goal of improving the training quality of the University. This event is also an opportunity for HCMCOU and businesses to build and develop a long-term and friendly cooperation relationship. On this occasion, the University hopes to continue to receive the companionship of businesses in the near future.
