With the aim of disseminating the University’s regulations on formal undergraduate training, sharing experiences in organizing teaching and learning activities towards learners achieving the program learning outcomes, and creating opportunities for exchange and discussion on teaching methods and solutions to support learners in order to increase the rate of on-time graduation and reduce the dropout rate.
On the morning of July 18, 2024, at Hall 202, 35-37 Ho Hao Hon campus, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City Open University organized a seminar on “Innovating Teaching Methods Towards Learners Achieving Learning Outcomes of The Program Learning Outcomes 2024”.
The program was attended by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Truong – Vice President, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President, along with the presence of more than 100 lecturers and academic staff of the University.
Appreciating the role and importance of the seminar, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha emphasized that this is an opportunity for leaders and lecturers of the faculties to objectively recognize and evaluate the current situation of teaching and learning at the University, especially in the context of the strong development of information technology and artificial intelligence applications.
“The seminar also creates opportunities for lecturers to share experiences, update the latest educational trends, and thereby propose effective improvement solutions to the teaching process at the University”, said Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha.
The seminar attracted nearly 20 advanced research papers revolving around topics such as methods to improve teaching and learning effectiveness, application of information technology in teaching and learning; proposing a framework of criteria for evaluating learning outcomes, etc. Among them, 05 presentations were selected to be presented directly at the program, attracting attention and lively discussion from the participating staff.
