On March 2nd, 2025, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology campus, Ho Chi Minh City Open University participated in the “2025 University Admission and Career Counselling Day” organised by Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
This admissions event attracted great interest from prospective students, parents, and representatives from various universities, colleges, and educational institutions. The event not only provided an opportunity for schools to showcase their academic programs, answer questions, and offer career guidance, but also helped students explore different fields of study and choose a suitable path for their future.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Open University plans to enrol 5,500 students across 51 academic programs, including 34 standard programs and 17 advanced programs. Among these, the university is expected to launch admissions for 6 new programs through flexible admission methods designed to accommodate a wide range of students and meet the diverse demands of the labour market. These include:
- Standard programs: Software Engineering, Architecture.
- Advanced programs: Information Technology, Management Information Systems, International Business, Marketing, and Human Resource Management.
According to Ngoc Tu, a student from Hung Vuong High School in District 5, she is currently interested in the Law program at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. After researching the curriculum and tuition fees, she feels that the program aligns well with her personal interests and future career goals.
