On the morning of August 22nd, 2025, in Room 704, 35–37 Ho Hao Hon Campus, Ho Chi Minh City Open University welcomed a delegation from Faculty of Economics at Sriracha, Kasetsart University (Thailand) for an official visit and working session. Previously, the two institutions had signed an online Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 21st, 2025. This visit provided an opportunity for both sides to meet face-to-face and further discuss directions for future cooperation.
Attending the meeting, from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, there were: Dr. Le Thai Thuong Quan – Head of the Office of Cooperation and Scientific Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ha – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, together with university leaders, lecturers, and staff; From Kasetsart University (Thailand), there were: Dr. Punarut Sirichokpokin – Assistant to the President for Corporate Communications and International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Parichart Tengsuwan – Dean of Faculty of Economics at Sriracha; Ms. Nuanphan Maithongdee – Assistant Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Economics at Sriracha.

At the reception, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ha – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking at HCMCOU, expressed his delight in welcoming the Kasetsart University delegation. He also introduced the university’s history, educational mission, and outstanding achievements in education, research, and international cooperation.
Representing Kasetsart University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Parichart Tengsuwan – Dean of Faculty of Economics at Sriracha expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome at HCMCOU and her hope that the partnership between the two universities would continue to grow through practical and concrete activities in the future.

During the working session, both sides discussed and reached a consensus on several important areas of cooperation. The discussions focused on co-organising academic conferences, implementing student exchange programs through study tours, combined with specialised lectures, field trips, and cultural exchange activities, proposing joint research projects and collaboration in financial consulting, and expanding scholarship opportunities for students. These initiatives are expected to strengthen connections, create diverse learning and research environments, and bring practical benefits to both lecturers and students.

This visit and working session serve as evidence of HCMCOU’s ongoing efforts to expand international cooperation, while enhancing the university’s reputation and standing in the regional education landscape. With an open spirit of collaboration and shared vision, HCMCOU and Kasetsart University look forward to building many practical and effective joint programs in the near future.
