On August 21st, 2025, at the Tradition Room, 97 Vo Van Tan Campus, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a Book Donation Ceremony sponsored by the Korea Foundation (KF). This meaningful event contributed to the spread of knowledge, the promotion of cultural exchange, and the strengthening of mutual understanding between Vietnam and Korea. The ceremony was honoured to welcome Mr. Woo Hyoung Min – President of the Korea Foundation in Vietnam. From Ho Chi Minh City Open University, attendees included: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President; MA. Au Thi Cam Linh – Director of the Library; MA. Bui Do Cong Thanh – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; and Dr. Tran Minh Quy – Head of the Korean Language Studies Department.

Notably, 20 outstanding students from the Korean Language Studies Department had the opportunity to directly explore more than 100 new Korean-language books donated by the KF Foundation.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha expressed his deep gratitude to the KF Foundation and hoped that the University would continue to receive support in the future, especially through Vietnam – Korea cultural and academic exchange programs, in order to enhance the quality of Korean Language training.


Immediately after the ceremony, many students eagerly began reading the new books at the Library. The event not only opened opportunities for access to valuable academic resources for study and research but also helped foster cooperative relations and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea. At the same time, it created opportunities for the development of Korean Language students in particular and for all University students interested in Korean language and culture.
