Development History of the Office

1. Established in 1993 under the original name “Office of Student Management.”

2. Renamed to “Office of Political Affairs” in 1996.

3. Renamed to “Office of Political and Student Affairs” in 2004.

4. In 2008, it was split into two separate offices: the “Office of Political Affairs” and the “Office of Student Affairs.”

5. In 2011, the two offices were merged into one: “Office of Political and Student Affairs.”

6. In October 2013, it was renamed to “Office of Student Affairs.”

7. In March 2022, it was renamed to “Office of Student Affairs and Communications.”

Achievements

• Awarded the title Excellent Labor Collective for the academic year 2008–2009 under Decision No. 879/QĐ-ĐHM dated October 9, 2009.

• Awarded the title Excellent Labor Collective for the academic year 2009–2010 under Decision No. 895/QĐ-ĐHM dated September 28, 2010.

• Awarded the title Excellent Labor Collective for the academic year 2010–2011 under Decision No. 711/QĐ-ĐHM dated August 26, 2011.

• Recognized by the Minister of Education and Training with the title Excellent Labor Collective for the academic year 2009–2010 under Decision No. 1282/QĐ-BGDĐT dated April 1, 2011.

• Certificate of Merit from the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for outstanding achievements over two consecutive academic years (2007–2008 and 2008–2009) under Decision No. 840/QĐ-UBND dated February 23, 2010.
