On August 15th, 2025, at Hall F2, Léman Building, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City Open University and CT Group officially signed a cooperation agreement. This event marks an important milestone in bridging academic knowledge with business practice, opening up valuable opportunities for students, lecturers, and experts from both sides.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, and Mr. Tran Kim Chung – Chairman of CT Group, along with leaders of university offices, research centres, and faculty members from the Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Biotechnology, and Faculty of Civil Engineering, as well as representatives from CT Group’s departments.

Three Pillars of Cooperation: Training, Research, and Innovation
This strategic cooperation agreement focuses on three main areas:
- Training high-quality human resources: Both parties will jointly organise practical training programs, providing opportunities for students to visit and intern at CT Group’s facilities, particularly in high-tech application fields. The aim is to help learners access professional working environments and better meet the demands of the modern labour market.
- Research and technological development: Ho Chi Minh City Open University and CT Group commit to collaborating on applied research projects. These projects will focus on advanced solutions, including automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and Building Information Modelling (BIM), leveraging CT Group’s strengths in high-tech production.
- Support for entrepreneurship and innovation: CT Group will support students from Ho Chi Minh City Open University by offering internship opportunities and sponsoring research and startup projects. This initiative is designed to create a favourable environment for young people to develop innovative ideas and turn them into reality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University emphasised: “The cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and CT Group is not only a bridge between education and business but also a strategic step to improve training quality and meet the requirements of the 4.0 labour market. This helps fulfil the University’s mission of ‘Open’. He also expressed pride in the students’ dynamic spirit and eagerness to learn, believing that this partnership will yield breakthrough outcomes, especially as Ho Chi Minh City aims to become a regional hub for the economy and technology.

On behalf of CT Group, Mr. Tran Kim Chung – Chairman of CT Group stated: “We are honoured to cooperate with one of the leading institutions in open education like Ho Chi Minh City Open University. Together, we aim to train generations of talented individuals who will contribute to the country’s sustainable development. The event took place in the context of CT Group’s strong investments in high technology and aims to lead the Southeast Asian region in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City Open University continues to affirm its position as a pioneering institution in open education and practical application.
