From February 24 to 28, 2025, a delegation from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, along with representatives from 10 higher education institutions in Vietnam, participated in a training course organised by the University of Alicante and the National Distance Education University (UNED) in Spain. The course focused on strategies and implementation methods for enhancing digital education.
The DIVE Project (Digitalisation of Vietnamese Higher Education) is a three-year Erasmus-funded initiative designed to enhance the capacity of 11 Vietnamese higher education institutions to develop digital education, thereby contributing to the modernisation of the country’s higher education system. The project is coordinated by EFMD Global, a non-profit international network dedicated to the advancement of higher education, with the participation of three prestigious European universities: Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), University of Alicante (Spain), and the National Distance Education University (UNED, Spain).
As part of the business trip, experts and lecturers shared knowledge and experiences on several key topics: the overview of digital education in higher education institutions; strategies and roadmaps for digital education development; and digital human resource development, with a particular focus on enhancing digital skills for lecturers in managing, designing, and developing digital lessons and materials, as well as supporting learners in applying technology in their studies.
