Within the framework of the training content of the Interdisciplinary Research Project "Promoting the knowledge network of interdisciplinary research methods to respond to global challenges" funded by the Erasmus Foundation + Ho Chi Minh City Open University through the University of Vienna, Austria; from March 18, 2019 to March 31, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City Open University organized a summer course and field trip for Vietnamese and international lecturers, graduate students, and fellows of 08 member universities under the Project, with the theme "Interdisciplinary research methods in response to challenges for the Mekong Delta".
The course mainly focuses on contents, such as equipping interdisciplinary research knowledge for all graduate students, meeting practicality and solving problems in their researches, applying theoretical frameworks on migration, political ecology, and sociology in the practical research, at the same time bringing non-academic partners into the research process with a key role such as universities and research institutes.
At KNOTS 2019, there was the participation of lecturers and fellows of universities, namely Vienna, Bonn, VASS, SISS, CHULALONGKORN, CHIANG MAI, CHARLES OF PRAGUES, and Ho Chi Minh City Open University, together with diverse learning and exchange activities, confirming the continuation of the successful cooperation agreements in applied research between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and its international affiliates.
