OU students play hard at traditional camp – Open Camp

On the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the founding of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (1931-2019), Ho Chi Minh City Open University’s Youth Union organized the traditional student camp program 2019 "OPEN CAMP" on March 23, 2019 at its Campus 2 in Long Binh Tan.

Many exciting and useful activities with mutual exchange and study opportunities of all students in the University took place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere during the 2-day and 1-night program. The traditional camp - Open Camp left unforgettable imprints for the campers.

More than 800 students from the Faculties with eight sub-camps were established. With the spirit of playing hard, the campers successfully completed the challenges set by the organizing committee. In the evening, the music and camp exchanges were attended by campers whole-heartedly.

The "Design - Decoration" contest of each sub-camp's gate. Each sub-camp was provided by the organizing committee with the necessary tools and equipment to set up the gates of their own sub-camps.

The "Talented student" contest contained a series of activities to "consume" the students’ strength, such as folk games, motor games, team building games to connect students and increase their skills.

Moreover, in the "Student's stuff" contest, sub-camps are divided into two teams: front and rear. At the front line, the teams that have passed the challenge at the stations and the rear line, the task of the teams is to participate in the cooking competition and prepare for the evening contest.

In particular, in parallel with the excellent musical performances is the contest "Student beauty at Ho Chi Minh City Open University". With the following parts: performing fashion costumes, dancing and art performance, the program brought about a bustling, vibrant and warm atmosphere.

Joining the atmosphere of the cultural night, there was the participation of more than 300 students studying Defense Education at Campus 2 Long Binh Tan. And at the end of the day, the campfire was lit. It is a fire of hope and youthful enthusiasm, promising to create further development in the future. Also during the camp fire, comrade Tran Van Tri shared about student activities, motivating young people to strive to improve themselves and serve the community.

OPEN CAMP is a very useful and meaningful activity - a bridge for students to learn and share experience in learning and life.
