An important strategy in sustainable education development is to well implement the role of linking the school with agencies, organizations and enterprises. This is also the top priority of the university to serve the purpose of application-oriented training to provide students with practical experiences. In that spirit, the cooperative relationship between Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU) and People's Courts was established on April 10, 2019 and concretized through the student support cooperation signing ceremony between OU and District People's Courts of District 1, District 3, District 6, Go Vap District and Binh Tan District.

On the side of People's Courts, there was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh - Chief Justice of District 1 People's Court, Mr. Vo Thanh Buu Tinh - Chief Justice of District 3 People's Court, Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuoc - Acting Chief Justice of the Court People in Binh Tan District, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang - Deputy Chief Justice of Go Vap District People's Court, Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam - Deputy Chief Justice of District 6 People's Court. On the side of Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU), there was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Vice Rector, PhD. Du Ngoc Bich - Dean of Law Faculty, PhD. Vu The Hoai - Vice Dean of Law Faculty, PhD. Lam To Trang - Dean of Civil Law Faculty, PhD., Le Thi Tuyet Ha - Head of Commercial Law Subject and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Head of Student Affairs Department.

The basic contents of the mutual cooperation program are to cooperate to promote the strengths of each party, effectively exploit the professional potentials and professional practice in training human resources to meet the needs of the society. People's Courts will also accompany the University in training and providing students an opportunity to access the real legal environment in the learning process. In addition, the two parties also coordinate professional exchanges to enhance the applicability of the study program of the Law major to gradually develop research and serve the development of affiliated units and Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU).
