With the mission of contributing and improving knowledge for the community with the most flexible and convenient methods (extracted from Ho Chi Minh City Open University’s mission), Ho Chi Minh City Open University has been constantly attempting to become the leading multidisciplinary public university in Vietnam with the orientation of application, knowledge universalization and community engagement in which its distance training aims to develop on a par with the Southeast Asia (extracted from Ho Chi Minh City Open University’s vision).

As one of the development strategies of the University, to meet the goal of ensuring and enhancing the quality of training programs as well as educational institutions for learners and related subjects, associated with the core values and educational philosophy of the University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University officially became AUN-QA’s associate member on February 19, 2019.
