In the morning of April 21, 2019, the University held a graduation ceremony for 83 new bachelors and new engineers in the form of distance education and in-serving training, in which a bachelor received a good bachelor degree in construction at the age of 70.
The new 70-year-old bachelor's name is Tran Xuan Thanh, born in 1949, who is a shining example of lifelong learning, "study, study more, study forever". 10 years ago, Mr. Thanh and his son studied the Economics Law Major. He felt that the distance learning form of Ho Chi Minh City Open University was a useful form of study, so he decided to enroll to learn more and follow his son. After Mr. Thanh and his son received a bachelor's degree in Economic Law, Mr. Thanh went on to register to study Construction at the University to prepare his family’s hotel construction project. Mr. Tran Xuan Thanh is an example worth studying and following.
The graduation ceremony took place successfully with the coordination between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Khanh Hoa Continuing Education Center.
