In the morning of July 19, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held the 3^rd Vietnam’s Business & Economics Research Conference (VBER 2019) with the key theme "Vietnam’s Place in the Asia Pacific Region". This is a series of conferences has held annually specializing in business and economic research, since 2017. At the Conference, there was attendance of nearly 100 delegates who are scholars, educational experts came from many countries in the world.

Addressing the seminar, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University commented that VBER 2019 was a forum to promote dialogue among scholars, policy makers and economists about outstanding research issues in terms of theory and experiment as well as application of policies for emerging countries, especially for Vietnam.

At the first day of key discussion session, participants discussed and shared many different perspectives on growth, importance and position of Vietnam in the region as well as in the world (which is the central and throughout theme in the VBER Conference 2019).

For the past two years, the Conferences has achieved impressive statistics from research reports in the series of VBER Conferences. Specifically, 15 articles at the VBER Conference 2017 were published in an SSCI journal and 8 articles from the VBER Conference 2018 were published in ISI journals and many articles are currently in the process of reviewing or in the process of adjusting.
