International cooperation has contributed positively to the process of international integration in terms of training quality and scientific research of Ho Chi Minh City Open University. Through the exchange of students, lecturers, researchers, and the cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and other universities is growing increasingly durable.

Graduate School of Ho Chi Minh City Open University cooperated with the Postgraduate Faculty of Srinakarinwirot University (Thailand) to organize the "The Summer Study Program" course for 5 post-graduated students of Thailand including 3 doctors, 1 research student and 1 master. The course started on 16 July 2019 and ends on 24 July 2019.

Attending the Opening Ceremony of the Course, Ho Chi Minh City Open University had the presence of Dr. Le Thi Thanh Thu - Head of Graduate School and Dr. Nguyen Thi Xuan Lan - Deputy Head of Graduate School; on the other side, Srinakarinwirot University also had presence of Associate Professor, Dr. Chatchai Ekpanyaskul - Head of Postgraduate Department and Dr. Bui Thi Minh Tam - Lecturer.

The course was held successfully with the main contents include: Understanding Vietnam education system and postgraduate training program at Ho Chi Minh Open University; learning about Vietnam's history and society through periods, carrying out studies on the current and future economic situation of Vietnam in particular and Southeast Asian countries in general. In addition, there are useful practical activities such as interacting with students of the Open University, visiting famous cultural and historical museums in Ho Chi Minh City.
