After a year of establishment, the International Transnational Education between Rouen Normandie University (France) and the Faculty of Business Administration of Ho Chi Minh City Open University has made signs of progress and gained particular achievements in student training and education quality assurance. This training program aims at students who are passionate about majoring in International Trade (Bachelor of Professional International Trade). Accordingly, students are required to complete a 3 - year program in Vietnam to get an international standard diploma granted by Rouen University, Normandy. Especially, third-year students at universities in Vietnam can also transfer for one year studying at Rouen Normandie University to obtain a Bachelor degree of this university.

In order to continue this success, on September 20th, 2019 at 602 Hall of 97 Vo Van Tan campus, the opening ceremony of the second course in the 2019-2020 academic year of the International Transnational Education between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and the Rouen Normandie University study took place in the joy of all students, parents and lecturers of the two schools. The participants of the ceremony are comprised of Associate Professor. Ph.D. Nguyen Minh Ha – the President, Ph.D. Le Thi Thanh Thu - Chairwoman of the School Council, Assoc.Prof. Ph.D. Trinh Thuy Anh - Dean of Business Administration Faculty, Ph.D. Le Thai Thuong Quan - Head of Office of Cooperation and Scientific Management, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Head of Office of Student Affairs, Mr. Ho Thanh Son - Deputy Head of Student Affairs Department from HCMC Open University. It was also a great pleasure to have the presence the representatives from the Consulate General of France including Ms. Frederique Horn - Vietnamese - French authorized director in Vietnam, Ms. Jeanne Cottonceau - In charge of cooperation and innovation. Rouen Normandie University was represented by Ms. Tran Thi Anh Dao - General Coordinator of the Transnational Education of Bachelor of International Trade. From international organizations and businesses, there was special presence of Ms. Rose de Champeaux - Director of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam and Ms. Stephane-Laure Caubert - Director of 8S2 Business.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Jeanne Cottonceau shared that this was the first opening ceremony that she had ever attended in Vietnam. She realized the close bond in cooperation between the French and Vietnamese universities, and she also showed her desire to dedicate more in collaboration between the two countries soon. Assoc.Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Minh Ha also showed his pride and honor when the students of Ho Chi Minh City Open University had the opportunity to study and cultivate their professional knowledge in international standards. In addition, it is hoped that the students of Rouen Normandie University and Ho Chi Minh City Open University will cooperate and support each other in their learning process.
