Looking forward to welcoming the 37th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2019), the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor organizes the Sports Festival for Universities and Colleges, Education and Training Units in Ho Chi Minh City from November 5, 2019 to November 20, 2019 at the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Cultural Palace.

Besides the meaning of welcoming the Gratitude Day for Teachers, the Organizing Committee also wants the Sports Festival will be an opportunity for participants to meet, exchange, forge a relationship, build solidarity and cohesion among  HCMC Open University Division. The activities held at the Sports Festival include badminton, table tennis, volleyball (men), chess and tug of war.

Ho Chi Minh City Open University is one of the units that responded positively to the Sports Festival. HCMC Open University's Officers and Lectures participate in the competition with the spirit to accept a challenge. Ms. Huynh Phuong Hy (Specialist of the Student Affairs Department) excellently held in the Second Prize in the Women's Badminton event under 40 years old. Moreover, Ms. Huynh Phuong Hy and Ms. Nguyen Phuong Anh (Specialist of Training Management Department) have got along with another that help them reached the second prize for the Women's Badminton Doubles 2019.
