On the morning of November 9th, Ho Chi Minh City Open University and the Center of Youth Science and Technology Development signed a cooperation agreement at the opening ceremony of the 10th Creative Youth Festival in 2019. This agreement aims to strengthen the cooperation of the two organizations in scientific research activities and develop the youth's creative movement.

At the ceremony, Mr. Doan Kim Thanh - Director of the Center of Youth Science and Technology Development and and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, as representatives of the two organizations, are committed to working together in organizing annual youth scientific conferences, as well as co – organize the program of "Voluntary Young Scientific Intellectuals ", Ho Chi Minh City Creative Youth Festival and the "Young Science and Technology Innovation Nursery" in the period of 2019 - 2024.  Accordingly, the Center will support and accompany students of Ho Chi Minh City Open University in developing scientific research projects.

Delivering the opening speech, Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Communist Youth Union hopes that honoured ideas and models will be successfully applied into practice, which could help the community and promote the movement of creativity in science and technology among students and young intellectuals. The festival is an ideal place to discover new scientific talents for the city and the country.

In this year’s festival, the creative youth exhibition attracted more than 30 booths built by  students. the prominent ones are the models of environmental protection, robots designed to serve and facilitate people’s life, equipment for fire safety, innovational ideas of teaching development, etc. Especially, Ho Chi Minh City Open University participates in the exhibition with the booths displaying products from the Faculty of Biotechnology and the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

The Creative Youth Festival is organized with the purpose of developing the movement of active learning, creativity, scientific research of the city's youth. It is a useful playground for exchanging academic knowledge, research and creativity as well as  introducing exhibitions of creative scientific and technological topics, products, models, ideas, technical solutions of young people, young intellectuals and city’s departments. At the same time, exellent collectives and individuals in the movement of learning, creativity and scientific research have an opportunity to be honored.
