On February 14, 2020, at the campus of 35-37 Ho Hao Hon, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a seminar " Scientific-technological development and innovation " to bring opportunities for the Board, rectors, and lecturers of the University that have access to, discuss, contribute and propose ideas to complete the contents stated in Official Letter No. 251 / BGDĐT-KHCNMT. They are: "Higher education institutions are one of the main research subjects and a core element of the national scientific system. Scientific-technological and innovation activities are the foundations to promote the socio-economic development of the country".
Attending the seminar were Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Minh Ha - Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, and lecturers from the Faculties of the University. Within the program framework, the lecturers discussed and offered suggestions for the draft "Regulation on the mechanism to encourage the formation of research groups in Ho Chi Minh City Open University" composed by the Department of Cooperation and Drafting Science Management.
Specifically, stressing the role and importance of scientific research is that for the community, the researches need to expand its applicability. Simultaneously, the provisions in this draft are also carefully analyzed.
