On the morning of July 4, 2021, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held the Opening ceremony for Online bachelor's program via distance learning - course 02/2021 virtually. This course, the University welcomed 524 freshmen matriculated in the fields of Marketing, Law, Economic Law, English Language, Finance-Banking, International Business, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting and Auditing.

The ceremony took place on-screen with the participation of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President, Dr. Phan Thi Ngoc Thanh - Director of Online Training Center, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thi - Head of Human Resources Department of LIX Detergent Joint Stock Company, along with representatives who are leaders of Faculties, Departments, Offices and participation of freshmen - Course 2/ 2021.

At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha congratulates 524 freshmen on admission. “E-learning is a convenient and flexible method, however, there are also differences compared to the traditional learning form. In order to achieve the desired results, it is necessary to set a well-defined initial goal, which is the main motivation for lifelong learning, along with reasonable schedule and a positive learning attitude.” - He shares.

The university's online Bachelor's program has developed 10 disciplines to serve the society’s diverse industry needs, with over 7700 learners from undergraduate degree  as well as pathway programs to bachelor degree. In addition, the University not only delivers short-term online courses such as high-quality TOEIC 550 preparation course, TOPIK 1 preparation course, Vietnamese communication course for foreigners but also offers free community courses serving the lifelong learning on VMOOCs platform. From the first course up to now, Online training program has accomplished outstanding development. Via this convenient and flexible learning method, learners can be proactive in both space and time. So as to ensure the health safety for students in the complicated developments in terms of the current Covid-19 epidemic, Online training is a necessary solution for current teaching activities.
