The Final Round of “OU Logistics Talent Competition 2021” was co-organized by Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development, took place online on September 19, 2021 via Zoom, and livestreamed on HCMCOU Department of Student Affairs Fanpage.
Accompanying with the contestants are members of examiners, advisory boards from HCMCOU Business Administration Faculty and agencies including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh – Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Tram – Head of Supply Chain Management; MSc. Dang Quy Nhan – Lecturer; Mr. Nguyen Kim Hoang – Director of Saigon River Logistics and Trading Co., Ltd; Mr. Dinh Viet Thanh – Investment manager, Sotrans Logistics One Member Co., Ltd.
After one month of starting the Contest, the four best groups of contestants competed in the Final Round with the final results: The 1st prize belongs to 3TD team; 2nd Prize for INTERN LOG team; 3rd Prize for SUNRISE team and Consolation Prize: DREAM MAKER team. Accordingly, the team with 1st prize will represent HCMC Open University to participate in the Quarterfinal of "Vietnam Logistics Young Talents - 2021" Contest organized by Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development.
Representative of examiner board, Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Tram shared: “Accompanying contestants from the beginning until now, I highly appreciate your efforts and enthusiasm towards Logistics - Supply Chain Management discipline. I hope that through the contest, you will consistently develop your initiative, enthusiasm, and inquisitiveness both in study and life.”
Speaking at the opening of the Contest, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President of the University sent to the contestants: “The OU Logistics Talent Contest 2021 is a playground which provides learners opportunities to access real-life situations created by agencies and enterprises. Although some actual activities have been put on hold due to Covid-19 pandemic, this is an opportunity for students to widen perspectives on the current logistics industry during the pandemic and come up with innovative and breakthrough solutions. We hope that the OU Logistics Talent Contest 2021 will be the first bricks to help learners majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management lay a solid foundation and become more mature in future profession.”
The contest contributes to promote and raise social awareness about the importance of Logistics; Create a practical playground for learners to practice skills and gain experience; At the same time, strengthen the connection between learners, the University and enterprises in Logistics training, thereby improving the quality of logistics human resources./.
