On the morning of March 20, Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU) held the 2022 Master's Awards Ceremony - a joint training program between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Edith Cowan University (Australia) for 92 students.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President, Dr. Nguyen Thi Xuan Lan – Head of Postgraduate School, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Nga - Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages.
At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, expressed his sincere appreciation to those who have always supported the University as well as the newly graduated masters in all our endeavors. I am so proud of all your achievements today, and I believe that you will make the greatest contributions to the society and successfully obtain tremendous accomplishments in the future - He added.
Ho Chi Minh City Open University City and Edith Cowan University jointly organized a Master's in Education program, majoring in Theory and Methodology of English Language Teaching (Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). One of the highlights of the program is that it is entirely taught in Vietnam, and learners will be awarded a Master's degree by Edith Cowan University. The training program is divided into two phases: phase 1 is taught by lecturers from HCMCOU and phase 2 is taught by lecturers from Edith Cowan University.
After 5 years of establishment, the program has 366 students and is highly valued for the quality of its lecturers as well as the training curriculum which is consistent with the English teaching context in Vietnam and around the world./.
