On the morning of June 7, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a cooperation agreement signing ceremony with Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SACOMBANK) at campus 97 Vo Van Tan St., Dist. 3.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City Open University and SACOMBANK jointly implemented  “0% interest installment for tuition payment via credit card and school financial solutions” program, namely “Policies and terms for issuing credit cards’; “Linking Process”; “Payment Registration and Related Costs”.

The bilateral agreement focuses on organizing academic activities such as thematic reports, scientific seminars, etc. in order to orient career for students or to facilitate knowledge for enterprise’s employees; Jointly implement application-based projects; on-demand training courses; and recruit interns from HCMCOU when needed.

SACOMBANK will recruit HCMCOU students for part-time and full-time vacancies when needed, maintain job status reports of current students and alumni at SACOMBANK, as well as facilitate alumni engagement at the company and HCMCOU.

Attending the ceremony, from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, there were Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh – Director of Student Affairs and Communication Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh - Deputy Director of Student Affairs and Communication Department; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Liem - Head of English Linguistics Department, School of Advanced Learning; Mr. Nguyen Le Minh Long - Director of Center for Career Guidance. On behalf of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank), there were: Mr. Tran Van Thong - Customer Relationship Deputy Director, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Linh - Vice Director of Central Branch, Mr. Bui Thanh Cong - Director of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Transaction Office; Mr. Le Doan Khanh Huy – Personal Client Specialist; Mr. Dai Ngoc Truong – Personal Customer Specialist.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang - Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University shared: “One of our key activities is to support tuition fees and provide an optimal learning environment for students. Additionally, besides the contents signed today,  we expect to have more opportunities to cooperate in other areas such as internships, developing appropriate training programs to meet employment eligibility and social demand.”

In the extended exchange, the two sides were able to learn and discuss more about a number of activities for students such as scholarships, academic competitions, field trips for students so as to keep their job skills and knowledge up-to-date.
