On December 21, 2023, the Press Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) announced the results of the survey and assessment of the maturity of digital transformation of the press in 2023. Accordingly, the Journal of Science of HCMC Open University ranked in the Top 5 leading press agencies in the scientific journal sector.

On December 21, 2023, according to the Vietnam News Agency in Hanoi, for the first time, the Vietnamese press industry was issued a Strategy of Press Digital Transformation to 2025, with a vision to 2030 (Decision No. 348/QD-TTg dated April 6, 2023). This Strategy plays a fundamental role in raising awareness for press management agencies and leaders of press agencies about the importance of digital transformation, which promotes press agencies to proactively deploy appropriate solutions, seize opportunities, and develop strongly in the new media environment.

As a prestigious specialized academic journal, HCMC Open University Journal of Science - Economics and Business Administration actively applies the Digital Transformation Strategy, implementing open access for all articles (in both Vietnamese and English languages) published on the online system.

Established in 2006, HCMC Open University Journal of Science has constantly developed towards integration and participated in connecting with the national and international data system; the main readers of the Journal are researchers in the fields of: Economics and Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology.

In 2023, the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) reviewed and re-evaluated, Vietnam had 20 scientific journals accepted into the ACI database, including 02 journals of the Journal of Science of the HCMC Open University Journal of Science.
