On the morning of November 6, 2024, at Dong Nai Rubber Corporation, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a meeting with Dong Nai Rubber Corporation to strengthen cooperation in research and human resource development for both entities.
Attending the meeting, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University; Mr.Do Minh Tuan, General Director of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation; along with leaders from various units of the university and the corporation.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha introduced the university's vision, mission, and training programs, emphasizing the importance of providing high-quality human resources for Vietnam’s rubber industry. He also proposed collaborative research and training initiatives, as well as support for learners, especially those from the Faculty of Biotechnology to have opportunities to study and work at the corporation, thereby meeting the growing demands of the labour market.
Mr. Do Minh Tuan, General Director of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation, shared insights into the current development of the company and its future direction, which aims to enhance productivity and focus on developing new products not yet available in the market, such as natural rubber-based silicone. These products are intended as base materials for creating a wide range of applications in industries such as automotive technology, cosmetics, and healthcare. As a result, there is an increasing need for highly skilled professionals in the field of rubber production and processing. Strengthening collaborative training to improve the specialized knowledge of the corporation’s workforce is essential. He expressed confidence that the partnership with the university would help the company identify and develop suitable talents, contributing to enhanced competitiveness in the industry.
