On the morning of November 12, 2024, at 97 Vo Van Tan Campus, the Southern Office of the Communist Review-Journal and Ho Chi Minh City Open University jointly organized the scientific workshop “Technical Infrastructure Management to Meet the Requirements of the Supply Chain for Industrial Development in the Southeast Region” with the participation of 90 researchers and scientists from universities and institutions in the region.

From Ho Chi Minh City Open University: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President of the University, spoke at the conference: “The Southeast Region is a key economic area in Southern Vietnam with over 40 industrial zones. Therefore, ensuring supply chains for development is an urgent need. The workshop has selected 58 papers to compile into the conference proceedings, generally divided into two groups: theoretical and practical.” He also emphasized that the workshop is not only an opportunity for academic exchange but also reflects the scientific community’s concern for the nation’s development, aligning with the spirit of Resolution 24-NQ/TW on socioeconomic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast Region by 2030, with a vision to 2045.

The workshop featured two presentations and discussion sessions focusing on key topics. The reports presented addressed fundamental issues and the current state of technical infrastructure management, meeting supply chain demands for industrial development in the Southeast Region. Additionally, they proposed solutions and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of infrastructure management.

Dr. Pham Van Dien, Regional Political Institute II, with the presentation titled "Challenges in Developing the Industrial Sector in the Southeast Region According to Resolution No.24-NQ/TW.
After lively discussions, Assoc. Prof. Dr Pham Minh Tuan – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review Journal, concluded the workshop by evaluating the research as offering many practical proposals and identifying bottlenecks to be resolved, particularly in regional linkage to maximize infrastructure efficiency. He also highlighted the importance of the comparisons made with experiences from other countries and emphasized the role of innovation as a key driver for sustainable development.
