On the morning of December 7, 2024, at Vo Van Tan Campus, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a signing ceremony with Phuoc Thanh Construction Joint Stock Company to establish a cooperative relationship between the university and the enterprise, thereby developing and leveraging the strengths and resources of both parties.

At the ceremony, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President expressed his gratitude to the organizations and enterprises for their trust and partnership with the university over the years. He shared: “With the orientation of implementing open education and high-quality application-oriented training, the university always focuses on accessing and applying new knowledge and technologies to enhance the knowledge and professional capabilities of learners, meeting the increasingly high demands of the labor market in the current context. We hope that in the coming time, both parties will actively coordinate and implement cooperative activities to bring practical value to students.”  

Under the signed agreement, the two parties will focus on organizing seminars and discussions to provide students with practical professional knowledge and update them on new trends in the industry from the perspectives of expert speakers. They will also collaborate to provide feedback, and improve, and enhance training effectiveness, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources that meet market demands. Additionally, company visits will be organized to allow students to experience the corporate environment, culture, and workspace, helping them quickly adapt to the working environment. Notably, Phuoc Thanh Construction Joint Stock Company will prioritize recruiting students from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, creating a dynamic and creative working environment that offers long-term development opportunities.

Students need to be equipped with the necessary skills to meet the demands of businesses and society.

Specialized Report on Career Overview and Building Information Modeling (BIM) Solutions.  

Recognizing the significant potential of BIM in improving construction efficiency and quality, Ho Chi Minh City Open University and partner enterprises collaborated to organize a specialized report on Career Overview and BIM Solutions. The report aimed to provide practical solutions to address challenges in implementing BIM at construction companies while offering career guidance for students interested in this field.  

The report attracted a large number of students, engineers, and construction experts. Representatives from the enterprises shared practical experiences in building and managing BIM models at their organizations, as well as introduced popular BIM tools and software currently in use. The event created a forum for participants to exchange ideas, learn, and collaboratively find optimal solutions for applying BIM in construction projects in Vietnam.
