Attending the meeting, from Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU), there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – Vice Rector, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan – Vice Rector, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Thu – Chairwoman of University Council cum Dean of Graduate School. From postgraduate alumni there were class leaders whose majors are Business Administration, Civil Construction, Finance – Banking, Economics, TESOL, Information Technology, Business Law, and Sociology.

Postgraduate alumni meeting are one of the most important University’s operational plans to improve academic training quality by getting feedback, sharing ideas and positive contribution from alumni.

In this meeting, the Postgraduate Alumni Association was also established. The Association will keep in touch with their classmates and update the school on their achievements and careers, plan alumni events to bring classmates back together, take part in special alumni programs.

This is the first time postgraduate alumni class leaders have been selected for these positions. OU expects that they will establish a new tradition of postgraduates who will help alumni stay connected with the university and help students benefit from alumni networks and support.
