Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU) has been constantly innovating, developing and always pioneering in the field of distance education since its early days of establishment. During the course of development, OU always focuses on deep cooperation with domestic and foreign partners to improve the training quality, diversify teaching majors, and more importantly creating favorable conditions for students. To date, OU has actively built up a training network with many affiliate centers in provinces and cities in all the four regions, of which the Central Region is the campus in Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.

On February 15, 2019, Assoc. Prof. Vu Huu Duc PhD. (Vice-Rector - In charge of Ho Chi Minh City Open University) and the delegation of the University visited and worked in Ninh Hoa town. The reception representatives were Mr. Tong Tran - Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr. Tran Van Minh - Township Chairperson and leaders of some local departments. On the side of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Assoc. Prof. Vu Huu Duc, PhD. has summarized some activities of the University as well as campus 5 in Ninh Hoa, outlined the operational orientations for the coming years, especially the establishment of the University’s branch at Ninh Hoa campus.

Local leaders are also very supportive of the University's activities and orientations, hoping that the University will soon establish a branch and a higher education level to expand the local learning opportunities. Thereby, a high quality human resources are trained to make practical contribution in the socio-economic development process in Khanh Hoa province in particular and the country in general.
