In the morning of March 17, more than 2,000 students in Ninh Hoa township and Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province gathered at campus 5 - Ho Chi Minh City Open University in Ninh Hoa township to attend the program "Bringing schools to candidates 2019” held by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper in collaboration with Khanh Hoa Province Department of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU). Ho Huu Thuy PhD, Head of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, answered: The most typical difference is that auditing will include all accounting knowledge. Auditing is to check the financial statements of accountants, so an auditor should have certain techniques, learn general audit, internal audit, etc., the auditing program is longer than accounting program. Those who learn auditing can work at companies, corporations, enterprises and can also work in the internal control department at banks. Currently, Open University's tuition fee is VND 18.5 million/year for Accounting - Auditing Major. There are many job opportunities for this major, not only in domestic but also in foreign enterprises. The salary may be up to US$ 1,000/month if the work is done well.

In addition, this year, many candidates are interested in social sciences because of the increasing applicability and openness for those who love the profession and have real capacity. Tran Ha My (student at Tran Quy Cap High School) wanted to come to the program to learn about social work, because she joined the Youth Union at the school and found herself suitable with the related professions to social work. During the exchange, a school boy boldly asked the question: "How are the training system and employment opportunities of the social work major?" Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Minh Ha PhD, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU), said: Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Open University has a major in Social Work and is the first branch in the South opened after liberation with more than 30 years of training experience. The graduation rate of this major is up to 92% (2018), the post-graduate job in social work is in many fields such as working in social facilities of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs as middle counseling centers, social protection centers, labor education centers; working with disadvantaged groups, at risk groups, vulnerable groups, social workers in communes, wards, private organizations, researchers in social studies, etc.
