At 2:00 pm on May 4, 2019 at Hall 601 of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, the Graduate Training Department cooperated with Fresenius University (Germany) and Southern Queensland (Australia) to hold the seminar "Human Resource and Marketing in the Digital Age" with the desire to bring attendees the latest knowledge about HR and Marketing from 2 well-known speakers in the industry: Mr. Lam Binh Bao - CEO of B.Coaching and Ms. Nguyen Hoai Mai - Recruitment Manager of ACB Bank. At the seminar, the Graduate Department introduced two associated MBA programs at Ho Chi Minh City Open University: General Administration with Fresenius University (Germany) and Strategic Human Resource Management with University of Southern Queensland (Australia).

Regarding the seminar’s topic on marketing, Mr. Lam Binh Bao shared the marketing contents around the current difficulties of enterprises in: finding customers, understanding customers and positioning brand in customers’ mind, etc. His presentation partly answered the questions and difficulties of marketing staffs currently working in the industry. Regarding human resources, Ms. Nguyen Hoai Mai's presentation is considered a hot topic today and received special attention from industry participants, as well as enterprise owners: Approach to candidates in the digital age. She shared channels to approach candidates, difficulties that employers are meeting and effective support tools for recruitment.

The MBA program also attracted the attention of attendees with information, such as many 2000-euro scholarships to Germany for 1-week short-term study tours of Fresenius University (Germany) and almost-certain overseas employment opportunities when graduating from University of Southern Queensland (Australia) because it is accredited by Australian HR Institute (AHRI).  During the talk, the speakers received a lot of questions around the issues of: know-how to recruit the right people, access to customers in marketing, MBA scholarships of Germany, job opportunities after graduating from Australian MBA programs, etc. All the questions were addressed by two speakers and Nguyen Hoang Sinh, PhD. (Director of the MBA program associated with Fresenius University) answered and provided specific information.

The seminar ended at 5:00 pm on the same day.
