Ho Chi Minh City Open University is among powerful providers of international cooperation programs. The Faculty of Business Administration joins hands with Rouen Normandy University (France) in an international affiliate program which gives a highly adaptive opportunity for students to integrate into real-life occupation. The program, driven towards employment targets, provides good future development orientation for graduates. At 8h00 on May 25, 2019, the Faculty of Business Administration organized a “Introduction to the Scholarship of Professional Bachelor of International Trade-ROUEN” at Amphitheatre 202, 35-37 Ho Hao Hon, Co Giang Ward, District 1.

The program drew a keen attention from parents, students and more than 350 undergraduates of the University. Attending the program, there were the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh - Faculty of Business Administration Dean, MA. Ngo Thi Phuong Anh - Lecturer of Faculty of Business Administration, and in-charge teachers. It is critical to mention the presence of Professor Tran Thi Anh Dao - Program lecturer, representative of Rouen Normandie University - France.

International Trade is one of the Faculty’s spearheading majors, beside extracurricular activities such as visits to enterprises or reporters’ sharing of practical issues, and especially international connection for cultural exchange and cooperation. “I returned to Vietnam my hometown to create more learning opportunities for all students. The current vogue of trans-national trade cooperation is more and more expanded and developed. Therefore, our Professional Bachelor of International Trade today is considered a foundation for students to catch career opportunities and become the labour force for the domestic and global economies. We also focus on improving and developing more good training programs for both two universities”, Anh Dao said.

Antecedent students of the Professional Bachelor of International Trade program-Rouen shared their experiences with the program. They not only acquired passive theoretical knowledge, but also participated in a variety of interesting subjects and useful activities, and learnt how people run business and work in an enterprise. Students had chance to meet many successful entrepreneurs and to be enlightened about steps of a business model from conceptualization to production and marketing, etc., thereby opening their eyes about how a parallelism of theoretical and practical learning can bring generous opportunities for self-development and future employment.

The program is generally on the rise. Students complete the course by experiencing study in two different places. This will be a great opportunity for them to relish in a new culture while studying, and to receive resources and benefits from both universities. Moreover, being conferred degrees from two universities should be a huge plus for graduates to apply for jobs in the future.
