In the morning of July 07, 2019, the eLearning Center of Ho Chi Minh City Open University organized the opening ceremony of Online Bachelor’s Degree Program – 2^nd course of 2019 in the head quarter, located at No. 97 Vo Van Tan, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vu Huu Duc – Vice Rector, Dr. Phan Thi Ngoc Thanh – Director of eLearning Center, faculty leading teachers, invitees and new students of the 2^nd course of 2019.

The eLearning Center of Ho Chi Minh City Open University has been founded since May 2016 and contributed to the performance of the HCMCOU’s vision of “promoting a society with active learning by offering the most flexible and obtainable methods of education to students”. By over 3 years of establishment and development with nearly 3000 students in 9 faculties: Business Administration, International Business, HR Administration, Finance Banking, Law, Economic Law, English Language, Accounting & Auditing, the ELO Center has continued to welcome new students of the 10^th program course.

Speaking in the ceremony, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vu Huu Duc emphasized some advantages of the Online training program of ELO Center, such as the valuable knowledge and degree that may help students study post-graduate and doctor programs; and also gave a wish to all new students on achieving the best results in study.

Be honored to represent for more than 300 New students of the 2^nd course of 2019 making a speech, Ms. La Kim Phung, the HR Administration student shared her feelings when determining to study in this course: “We chose this program because of its flexibility, convenience and assurance on quality and prestige of the university. However, along with what can be taken from the program, we should make best efforts and persistence to get the success. I used to read some articles on bright learners who are students in the remote training program of Ho Chi Minh City Open University and even in the age of 60 and 70, they graduated with the excellent grade and used their knowledge learned in the university to serve their current works. I really admired them.   These venerable students showed the fact that the age is never a barrier to seeking knowledge; but our determination, effort and desire to develop ourselves are main elements of the success. I hope that we are as similar to these uncles and aunts who always keep fire and enthusiasm in the heart to achieve our desires”.

The Opening ceremony of the 2^nd course of 2019 Online Bachelor’s Degree Program ended happily and marked the beginning of new course and development of the University on eLearning program.
