On January 11 -2019, a team of teachers, consultants from Ho Chi Minh City Open University presented and attended the opening of Exam Season Consultancy Program, coordinated by Thanh Nien Newspaper - Ministry of Education and Training -  Dong Nai Department of Education and Training take place at Dong Nai University. The fair is a gathering place for nearly 70 universities, colleges and attracts more than 10,000 students to participate. At the Ho Chi Minh City Open University Pavilion, the counselors received many questions from students and parents.

On the next day, January 12 - 2019, Ho Chi Minh City Open University continues to participate in the University and College Admissions Consultancy Day 2020 with the theme: "With you, decide the future".  The fair takes place at Ly Tu Trong High School.

Promoting strengths as a multidisciplinary university training and focusing on developing the practical, high application, the University has made adjustments as well as adding some new points in the enrollment of regular university in 2020 to update and meet the needs of social practices.

In 2020, the University announces an expected target of 4100 students rates, opening two more training courses: Tourism, Logistics and Supply Chain Management as well as new admission forms.
