In order to update practical knowledge taking place in Vietnam and around the world, January 2, 2020, at Ho Chi Minh City Open University - 97 Vo Van Tan campus, Graduate School of Education in collaboration with the Department of Finance - Banking and the Professional Council held a seminar on "Measuring the Profitability of Banks' Customers Under the Basel II / III and IFRS 9 / CECL Frameworks" - conducted by Dr. Bernd Engelmann Hans - Director Regional Director of Asia Open Source Investor Services BV (Netherlands), who is also a lecturer of the Department of Finance and Banking at Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

Participants at the seminar include: Dr. Bernd Engelmann Hans (Lecturer of Finance and Banking Department, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Director of Asia, Open Source Blv (Netherlands)); Dr. Pham Ha (Deputy Head of Finance - Banking Department); TS Vo Minh Long (Head of Department of Corporate Finance); Dr. Tran The Sao (Head of Banking Department), and other lecturers from Banking and Finance Department.

This is an opportunity for lecturers and students of the University to learn new research directions related to the provisions of Basel II and III treaties and regulations related to IFRS financial statements.
