On the morning of 10 Jan 2021, at Conference Hall 602, 97 Vo Van Tan, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU) organized the Open day for E-Learning Bachelor program for 4^th course and the University Graduation ceremony in 2020, for 650 freshmen and 69 fresh graduates.

With the presence of parents, relatives of new graduates and especially with the presence of freshmen, new graduates of the online distance learning in Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

Among 69 fresh graduates, there are 09 graduates were rewarded for achieving academic achievements, including 01 graduate was awarded the title “Excellence academic achievement throughout the course”, 08 graduates for the title “Good academic achievement throughout the course”. They have contributed to enhance the quantity and quality of knowledge for the society.

At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City Open University also welcomed 650 freshmen for Online Bachelor program for the 4^th course in 2020, 10 disciplines including Law, Economic Law, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, International Trade, English Linguistics, Accounting, Auditing, Finance-Banking.

Specially, we warmly welcomed a freshman in this open day, Mr. Nguyen Van Tan-a business man turning the age of 72 this year.

“The first intention that came to my mind was to take night classes for the Bachelor of Law program at an university. However, I changed my mind to start learning online program at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. The reason for this choice was that I can learn anytime, and moreover I could not able to follow the program due to my health issue if I choose to study at night” shared Mr. Tan. He hopes to excel further studies after graduating so that he can apply his law knowledge to support and give free advice to those who in need.

Since our establishment on May 2016 till now, Ho Chi Minh City Open University ’s online learning program has always received tremendous support from the society. We have cooperated in training with the agencies and organizations such as Binh Phuoc People’s Committee, Ha Noi Community College, Ca Mau Community College, Ho Chi Minh Youth Workers Support Center, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat and Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants. Currently, there are over 5,000 students across Vietnam and neighboring countries including Malaysia, Philippines, etc.  joining the online bachelor’s degree program with 10 different disciplines: Marketing, English Linguistic, Law Studies, Economic Law, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, International Trade, Accounting, Auditing and Finance-Banking. Along with that, the university will continue to implement short online Courses such as TOEIC test preparation, TOPIK Korean test preparation and auditor’s entrance exam preparation to meet the diverse learning needs of the community increasingly.

With the motto "Student-Centered", the University is constantly striving to improve the quality of the program, along with building and fostering a team of Instructors - Experts and Advisory - Service team. With the values of learners who successfully complete their learning goals and develop their careers, the Online Training Program at Ho Chi Minh City Open University is considered an advanced training program.
