According to iPrice, based on Numbeo data - one of the world’s largest database, contributed by data users, the amount of money to maintain the stable life includes cost of living, accommodation, transportation, and other utilities for one person in Ho Chi Minh city which is only about 816 USD (approximately 18.8 million VND).

 

Ho Chi Minh City is a destination for many tourists because of its culinary diversity, hospitable natives and historical architectural works. In addition, the largest city in Vietnam is also the choice of many people when looking for job opportunities.

Singapore is the city with the most expensive cost of living in the region, with 57 million VND ($2,467), followed by Bangkok (Thailand), Manila (Philippines), Jakarta (Indonesia).

Thus, the living cost in HCMC is lower than Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta by 202%, 30%, 28% and 4% respectively.

Kuala Lumpur is the cheapest destination with an average monthly cost of 789 USD (about 18.2 million), not much different from Ho Chi Minh City.
