Within the framework of the program "Workshop On Quality Assurance For Online Courses According To The Standards Of Quality Matters (QM), USA", the first Zoom training session took place on the morning of January 19, 2022. In attendance were Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang (Vice President) and along with representatives who are leaders of Departments, Offices. From reporters, there were Dr. Deb Adair, Dr. Yaping Gao from QM organization, Assoc. Dr. Vu Huu Duc - Head of National Scientific Research on E-learning.

Initially, two reporters from QM provides a brief introduction to the University of the Organization and the standard sets for assessing the quality of online courses, followed by a discuss session related to accreditation standards of higher education in Vietnam.
In the following part of the program, Assoc. Dr. Vu Huu Duc presented on the topic "Quality Assurance of Online Courses". This is an essential part of the research on “Technology-based learning and training (E-learning) in higher education and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs): International Experience and Application to Higher Education in Vietnam”. In addition, various ideas were contributed to improve the quality of online education holistically in HCMCOU.
A series of intensive workshops will be held on two days, January 20 and 21, 2022, with topics of "Applying Quality Matters Rubric", "Designing online courses", "Designing hybrid courses". These workshops were deployed in preparation for HCMCOU’s staff to apply the Quality Matters Rubric standards and orient to develop the quality of online and hybrid courses.
