On the afternoon of March 2, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam E-commerce Association and the Digital Transformation Alliance signed a cooperation agreement in training, technology transfer, information exchange and use services provided by each party.

Accordingly, this event has affirmed and expanded the cooperation relationship in connecting practical to training and fostering high-quality human resources. The 03 parties will jointly cooperate on supporting training activities, subjects and fields related to information technology and digital transformation. In addition, the 2 units agreed to recruit and create favorable conditions for students of Ho Chi Minh City Open University to participate in internships, professional practice and at the same time, provide job requirements as well as reach out directly to ideal candidates for suitable positions.
Within the framework of the ceremony, the President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University - Mr. Nguyen Minh Ha shared: “…The university has effectively applied information technology and digital transformation. Currently, HCMCOU is delivering 10 online Bachelor's programs and short courses with information technology application in educational management and teaching via: LMS (https://lms.ou.edu.vn/), SIS (https://sis.ou.edu.vn/), etc. to support students’ learning process and is expected to increase to 15 programs in the upcoming time”. In the meantime, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha expressed pride in HCMCOU’s remarkable achievements of digital transformation, which have been promptly and effectively applied to teaching, especially in the recent COVID-19 epidemic.
After the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Chairman of VECOM expressed his gratitude towards the warm welcome of the University and gave his regards to the attending council.
The ceremony ended in the joyful atmosphere towards the sustainable development goals that the school and the 02 units aim for.
