On April 9, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held the Opening Ceremony of the online Bachelor's program, Course 01/2022 at Hall A, campus 97 Vo Van Tan and streamed over Zoom.

Participant in the program were Mr. Tran Giang Khue - Southern Representative, Intellectual Property Department and Mr. Nguyen Tan Phong - Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of Vietnam E-Commerce Association. On the side of HCMCOU, in attendance were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President, and Board of Directors of E-Learning Center, along with representatives who are leaders of Faculties, Departments, Offices and especially, there were participation of freshmen - Course 01/2022.

The ceremony opened with the speeches delivered by the School Board and business guests from Intellectual Property Department, followed by the announcement of the decision on the establishment of the Course and ultimately, freshmen Đào Tuấn Anh shared his thoughts on his first day of admission. Throughout the ceremony, introductory video clips and a brief guide to the online Bachelor's program were displayed.

After the ceremony, freshmen were instructed to access Zoom to meet the Faculty Heads. This meeting is a very essential and useful part for students to listen to the sharing, orientation as well as to find the answers about the curriculum, online learning methods from the lecturers.

Course 01/2022 had more than 900 newly admitted students in 10 disciplines such as Marketing, Law, Economic Law, English Language, Finance - Banking, International Business, Human Resource Management, Management Business Administration, Accounting and Auditing.
