On April 6, 2022, at Ho Hao Hon campus, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a Welcoming Ceremony to introduce the partnership with the Hanoi Open University. Attending the reception, from HCMC Open University, in attendance were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang - Vice President. From Hanoi Open University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhung – President, Dr. Duong Thang Long – Vice President and along with lecturers who are Leaders of Academic Departments of the 2 Universities.

At the Program, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President of the HCMC Open University affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Ha Noi Open University are the two institutions established with the mandate to improve open and distance education. In order to jointly develop, the two sides must together build cooperative programs to enhance training quality upon their strengths.

The reception has strengthened the partnership of the two Open Universities and greatly contributed to promoting training programs, fostering academic extracurricular activities, developing and delivering effective professional development for educators, organizing seminars, webinars and scientific research. In addition, the two sides will collaboratively build a rich variety of materials to address the learners’ learning and research needs.
