At 5pm on December 5, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City Open University attended the 20th Anniversary of ACCA's presence in Vietnam (2002 - 2022), held at The Reverie Saigon Hotel, hosted by Ms. Helen Brand – General Director of ACCA Global; Mr. Renjith Varma – Director of ACCA Mainland Southeast Asia.

On behalf of the HCMCOU, there was the presence of Dr. Lecturer Le Xuan Truong – Vice President and Dr. Ho Huu Thuy - Dean of Faculty of Accounting - Auditing. Over 20 years of establishment, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has always accompanied and supported Vietnam in general and the Ho Chi Minh City Open University in particular. Previously, in 2016, the University signed a memorandum of understanding with ACCA on coordination in training, fully equipped with practical knowledge in the accounting - finance industry and supporting students to approach closer with career opportunities.

The ceremony is an important milestone marking 20 years of leadership as the first international professional association in Vietnam. ACCA has continuously made efforts to promote cooperation with universities and professional training organizations; actively contributing to the development of the country.
