On March 1st, 2023, to consolidate and expand cooperation relationships in research, training as well as open up opportunities for learners of the 2 Universities to experience the international environment, the HCMCOU signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) - Australia. 

Attending the meeting, on behalf of the HCMC Open University, there were, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President and representative of the Scientific Management and Cooperation Department. From the University of Southern Queensland, there was Prof Ren Yi – Pro Vice-Chancellor (International), under the witness of the Queensland Minister of Tourism, Innovation and Sport.

The signing ceremony was held to strengthen the cooperation of research activities between the two units, transferring knowledge, opening up opportunities to study and develop at an international environment for students of the University. The signing ceremony also marked the 50th founding anniversary of Vietnam - Australia diplomatic ties (February 26, 1973 - 2023).

At the end of the working session, the two universities exchanged souvenirs and wished to develop joint training programs to facilitate learners’ learning as well as affirm the 2 Universities’ positions.
