On the morning of June 10, 2023, in Hall 202, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a Graduation Ceremony and signed a training contract for a joint program with Rouen University, France. Accordingly, 35 graduates were recognized for completing the Bachelor of Professional International Trade Program. As part of the program, the contract signing ceremony aimed to affirm the continuously improving quality of education, suitable for the international integration environment.

Additionally, there were lecturers, officials from the Business Administration Department at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, lecturers from the Rouen partnership program, and the presence of the 35 graduates and their families.

Since its establishment, the Bachelor of Professional Commerce Program in International Trade has continuously developed to adapt to the economic integration context. With over 100 trained students, they not only possess excellent language skills but also high professional competence, with over 90% of graduates securing employment immediately after graduation. It is because of these outstanding achievements that the contract signing ceremony between the two institutions took place, aiming to strengthen the cooperative relationship in training the joint program, committing to ongoing innovation and improvement in the quality of training high-quality human resources.

Speaking at the Graduation Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President emphasized the five core values: Knowledge enrichment and employability enhancement, practicality, lifelong learning, Community engagement, professionalism, creativity, and effectiveness. Through this, he hoped that the graduates would apply the knowledge taught and continue to learn and apply in the workplace to achieve the desired success.

During the graduation ceremony, Ms. Flora Canetti - representative of the French Consulate General, expressed her joy for the 35 graduates of the Bachelor of Professional International Trade Program. She believed that the partnership program between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Rouen Normandie University (France) plays an important role in developing the cooperative relationship between the two countries, especially as 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of bilateral cooperation between France and Vietnam.

The joint program between Rouen University (France) and Ho Chi Minh City Open University provides three years of training for a Bachelor's degree in International Trade, with an internationally recognized degree awarded by Rouen Normandie University. Throughout the course, students are taught entirely in English and have opportunities to interact with international students.

In the emotional moment of holding their graduation certificates, Van Le Nguyen Thanh, a graduate of the Rouen joint program, expressed gratitude to the university, lecturers, and especially to fellow students from the 2020 cohort who have accompanied each other during their journey. One chapter has come to a close, and a new journey begins with many experiences and responsibilities.
