On the morning of September 11, 2023, at Hall 202, located at the campus of 35-37 Ho Hao Hon, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a solemn ceremony to announce decisions and award quality accreditation certificates for five undergraduate programs in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In attendance from Ho Chi Minh City Open University were Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, the President of the university, Assoc. Prof. Le Xuan Truong, the Vice President of the university, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang, the Vice President of the university, along with all the university's staff, lecturers. From the Da Nang University's Center for Education Accreditation, there were Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Giao, the Director of the Center, and Dr. Huynh Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Head of the Department of Operations.

During the ceremony, the university's five undergraduate programs were officially assessed for quality and met the standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training. These programs included Civil Engineering Technology, Biotechnology, Social Work, Southeast Asian Studies, and Law.
