With the goal of fostering a learning society and contributing to developing high-quality human resources for the society, Ho Chi Minh City Open University places great emphasis on building a reading culture within the student community.

Recognizing the importance of reading for students

Books are an endless source of knowledge, providing students with information on various fields, from natural sciences and social sciences to literature, and art. Reading helps students broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding of the world around them, and improve themselves.

There is a variety of books in various genres, from literature, technical sciences, economics, social sciences to foreign languages,… meeting the diverse needs of students.

Moreover, it helps students develop independent, logical, analytical thinking skills, enrich vocabulary, enhance communication, and fluent expression skills.

Books serve as guides for students towards good moral values, helping them cultivate noble characters, compassion, and love for humanity.

Encouraging activities for students to read at Ho Chi Minh City Open University

The Ho Chi Minh City Open University Library provides comprehensive facilities and quality services, with over 200,000 volumes covering various fields, continuously updated and classified on the system to facilitate students' access to resources.
