On April 15, 16, and 17, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU) welcomed an international education quality assessment delegation from FIBAA via online platform. The delegation conducted an assessment of the English Linguistics advanced training program.

FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) is a prestigious non-profit organization for quality assurance and development of higher education in Switzerland. The organization was founded with the aim of promoting the quality and transparency of education programs worldwide.

Welcoming the FIBAA international expert delegation, on behalf of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, there were Prof.Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President, Dr. Assoc. Prof. Le Xuan Truong - Vice President of the University, and leaders of departments, offices, and faculties.

In his speech at the program, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President of the University emphasized the importance of quality assessment of the University's training programs. This is a solid foundation for the University to be able to consider the fulfillment of the training programs' objectives; internationalization activities; enrollment work; faculty development work; investment in infrastructure and education quality assurance activities.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha expressed his gratitude to FIBAA and the expert delegation for their support to the University throughout the process of preparing the self-assessment report and conducting the external assessment. He also expressed his hope to receive important recommendations from the FIBAA expert council so that the University can continue to improve and enhance the quality of its training programs.

The FIBAA expert delegation examined documents, interviewed leaders of faculties, departments, stakeholders, students,lecturers, and support staff. They highly appreciated the University's efforts in teaching and the satisfaction of learners.

At the end of the working session, the delegation had positive comments on the University's preparation work, as well as the feedback from stakeholders. Accordingly, the past three working days have taken place effectively with full documentation and specific data according to the requirements, affirming the commitment of Ho Chi Minh City Open University to improving training quality, teaching human resources, and student services, towards international integration.
