Nearly 50 businesses from various fields participated in the "Open Business Matching"

On the morning of June 23, 2024, at Hall 602, Campus 97 Vo Van Tan, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City Open University organized the Open Business Matching 2024 event, with the participation of nearly 50 businesses from various fields.

This is the second year the university has organized the program to express gratitude to businesses that have contributed significantly to enhancing the quality of education linked with practical applications. Additionally, the event serves as a platform for connecting the community of organizations and businesses to fulfill social responsibilities, disseminate knowledge, and provide practical value to future generations of students.

Attending the program from Ho Chi Minh City Open University were Prof.Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President, along with leaders and staff from various university departments and diverse businesses including Finance, Banking, Information Technology, Construction, Biotechnology, Languages, Economics, and Business Administration.

During the opening speech, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President emphasized the university's commitment to fostering effective partnerships with 573 local and international universities, institutions, and reputable businesses as part of its sustainable education development strategy.

The panel discussion on "Enhancing the Effectiveness of Business Collaboration" featured three presentations by business representatives, providing valuable insights into efficient collaboration models. They also made specific recommendations regarding internships and practical training to better support students in their educational journey.

Acknowledging the creative thinking abilities of university students, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thai – General Director of Thanh Thai Gia Trading and Investment Company, expressed readiness to collaborate with the university in creating a dynamic learning environment. This would enable students to access and apply new technologies in solving practical issues, thereby enhancing entrepreneurial spirit among them.

Ms. Pham Khanh Van – Head of Resource Development Department at ITM Corporation, Ho Chi Minh City, shared insights on the Japanese labor market, which offers numerous opportunities for civil engineers with top-tier benefits and welfare. To facilitate rapid integration into the Japanese labor market, the company collaborated with the Construction Department to launch two Japanese language classes tailored for university students.

During the program, representatives from six businesses awarded scholarships to the university's Scholarship Fund in recognition of outstanding academic achievements by students, increasing the total scholarship value from corporate sponsors to over 1.3 billion VND for the academic year 2023-2024.
