Workshop "HRM Strategies for a Changing World"

On June 27, 2024, at 35-37 Ho Hao Hon, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City Open University organized a workshop "HRM Strategies for a Changing World" to discuss, share management models and process for building human resource strategies that meet industry trends and business orientations in the new economic context.

Overview of the Workshop

Attending the Workshop, there were Ms. Dinh Kim Nhung - Human Resources Director of Pernod Ricard Vietnam & Cambodia Co., Ltd.; Dr. Le Thai Thuong Quan - Director of Cooperation and Science Management Department, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, and many learners from Malaysia.

Emphasizing that human resources are an important asset of the organization and need to be managed strategically, Ms. Dinh Kim Nhung - Human Resources Director of Pernod Ricard Vietnam & Cambodia Co., Ltd. said that the practice of human resource management in Vietnam and internationally still faces difficulties and challenges due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, businesses need to proactively plan for effective human resource management to limit difficulties and promote the strengths of human resources. Accordingly, focusing on fostering and developing skills for employees, building welfare policies, and creating a positive working environment are important factors to attract and retain talent, enhance engagement, and improve productivity and efficiency for businesses.

Discussing the program, Ms. Nor Nazeranah Haji Omar Din - Human Resources Development Specialist of HDR Corp Malaysia shared that the world is witnessing significant changes due to the explosion of technology. An important trend today is working remotely, creating an increasing demand for collaboration tools and data analysis. Cybersecurity has become an indispensable factor when sensitive data is stored online. At the same time, artificial intelligence is automating many tasks, requiring workers to continuously improve their skills and adapt to not be left behind.
