On the morning of July 7, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held the Opening Ceremony for the 2nd online bachelor's degree program of 2024 at 97 Vo Van Tan Street, District 3. This ceremony marked a significant milestone for new learners as they embarked on their academic journey. 

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang - Vice President; the Board of Directors of the Online Training Center at Ho Chi Minh City Open University; Mr. Dinh Phuoc Thien, Deputy Director of Human Resources at Saigon Trading Group; along with faculty, staff, and new students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang - Vice President, extended his congratulations and encouragement to the new students, expressing his confidence in their ability to achieve excellent results in their upcoming academic journey.

Following the formal ceremonies, new students were guided to access the Zoom platform to participate in a session on online learning regulations and procedures. Additionally, new students had the opportunity to meet with their respective faculty advisors to receive guidance on their chosen programs, study plans, and to gain insights into effective online learning strategies. This is a crucial step in helping new students quickly and effectively adapt to online learning. 

In this enrollment period, the university offered online bachelor's programs in Civil Engineering Technology, Tourism, International Business, Auditing, Accounting, Law, Business Law, Marketing, Chinese, English, Construction Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Finance - Banking, and Sociology. 

The university plans to introduce additional programs in Information Technology and Southeast Asian Studies in the upcoming academic year.
